Clinique Chubby Stick In Graped Up , Review , Photos , Swatch

I love makeup products in cute packaging. When Clinique first came up with the Chubby sticks I was instantly attracted ! How cute does it look? I love tinted lip balms in twist up packaging.

Clinique prices are usually exorbitant in India, so I waited till I could get it from US. When my brother was coming from US I got a bag full of beauty goodies. Clinique Chubby stick in Graped up was of the thing I got. This is a tinted lip balm in a pencil like packaging which twists up. I really like the consistency and the texture of the balm but I am not a big fan of the color. Graped up is a brown pink color which is usually my favorite kinda color but this one somehow does not suit my skintone so much.

Price?  $15

Swatch of Clinique Chubby Stick In Graped Up

The Good?

  • I love the packaging. It’s a chubby pencil which twists up. No need for sharpening.
  • Its moisturizing. It will not cure severely chapped lips but its just adequately moisturizing.
  • Its quite pigmented. Somewhat like a luster finish lipstick. I like it when tinted lip balms have decent pigmentation.
  • I think 15 dollars is a reasonable price for this.

The Not So Good?

  • I don’t like the color so much. This is what happens when you get a guy to go makeup shopping! It just doesn’t suit my skintone so much. I wish I had bought a better color.

Makeup-Mantra Rating:- 7/10

I love the concept of lip balms in cute chubby sticks. If I get a chance I will definitely pick up one other color. Have you tried the Clinique Chubby sticks? Which color is your favorite?

  1. hi u have a very interesting blog. I like the colour very much of the chubby stick. I also went in for the DDmg but instead the sales man put in DDML. Its not too oily but i could have done with the Gel. Its about 9 months old and Ive just used quarter of the bottle! I feel its a waste of money.

do we have make up exchanges in mumbai ? wouldnt that be great to exchange good quality, hardly used stuff, share shipping expenses etc etc...

Let me know :) thanks Chris
