I think that of the most important words in a girls life is SALE. This simple four letter word can elicit such a range of emotions – the initial flutter of excitement, the thrill of planning and selecting the right shade, the fun of actually shopping and finally the pure joy at opening the parcels and playing with the new goodies.

 I get sucked in each time Cherry Culture has a sale. It is just soo much fun opening up a makeup package!!!The NYX eyeshadow in Eggplant is a part of the Cherry Culture haul a couple of months back. I got this eyeshadow mainly because I was looking for a vibrant purple eyeshadow. On the Cherry Culture site the color looked very vibrant. But on swatching it looks like a medium toned plum.  I loved the color so it worked out anyway. But next time onwards I will definitely check out the swatches online on beaity blogs. Cherry Culture seems to have updated the site with better pictures though.

NYX Single Eyeshadow In Eggplant

The color Eggplant is a pretty plum color which  will look great on medium to dusky skin tone . I love to wear this will a rich black eyeliner on both upper and lower lashlines. And a little bit of matte black eyeshadow like the MAC Carbon in the outer corner. The finish of this is metallic which I feel is the best finish for a NYX eyeshadow.

Looks can be deceptive. What looks scary red in the pan can translate to a beautiful rosy glow on the cheek.Case in point, the NYX cream blush in Diva. I have mentioned how much I love the NYX cream blushes here. This is no exception. The texture of the NYX cream blushes is amazing and they are very easy to blend.

This color looks scary red in the pan but on application it looks really beautiful. The rick is to take a really small quantity and blend.It looks like a deep rosy pink on the cheeks.

While  a normal Homosapien would dedicate romantic ballads to his/her sweetheart , the slightly (makeup) crazy ones dedicate songs to their beloved beauty treasures. Well I don’t know if they do, I certainly felt like dedicating this awesome Beatles song to the NYX grinding powder blush.

I love NYX makeup and I am quite addicted to ordering from Cherry Culture every time they have a sale. I have their regular powder blusher and I absolutely love it. So when NYX came up with their HD line of makeup I had to try!! The HD line of makeup is more expensive than their regular line, so I had to control myself. I ordered 2 products from their HD line, NYX Grinding powder blush in Nutmeg and their HD eye shadow primer. I loved the concept of twisting the lid to grind the powder. I get sucked in by such marketing gimmicks instantly K.

Cherry Culture Haul, Swatches and Reviews

I first heard about the economical awesomeness of NYX a year back while browsing through various beauty blogs. I was too scared of online shopping back then and didn’t consider buying online from cherryculture.

Then one random day while grocery shopping in Total Mall I spotted NYX counter! I quickly scuttled across the floor and landed at the aforementioned counter with a huge grin on my face. Much to my dismay though they had a very limited collection and almost no testers! How can a makeup counter have no testers is beyond me! Also each single eyeshadow was priced at 400-500 I think. Now why would I pay so much for NYX when by paying a couple of hundred rupees I can get a MAC refill eyeshadow. Anyway I liked what I saw, testers or no testers especially the quilted pattern on the eyeshadows and blushes. 

I ordered from Cherryculture.com in October sometime last year. Instead of doing individual reviews I thought I will do one haul post and mini reviews for each product since I have had a few months to play with these goodies.

1-    NYX Rouge Cream blush In Tea Rose

- This made me fall in love with cream blushes.It comes across as a lovely muted peach color on my skin. For everyday look I take a little bit on my fingers and just tap tap on my cheeks and blend upward. It gives a very natural looking glow to my skin. For night time this can be built up in intensity. I have oily skin  breakout prone skin but this hasn’t broken me out in any way. It does disappear though after 3-4 hours but then no blush lasts on me more than 4 hours. I just love this blush and would definitely recommend it.
